i was so happy with how they turned out i just had to share!

justin is going to the school of his choice on a lacrosse scholarship. pretty awesome. he had hopes of some really cool lax senior pics in front of a dramatic sunset but it was cloudy and overcast on the day of his session. after all was said and done, i ended up being happier with the images with the gloomy sky in the background. congrats, justin! you have a lot to be proud of!

sophia stopped by last week to celebrate her birthday with a smash the cake session. it took her a while to decide what she thought of the cake (using buttercream as frosting is not normal, right?) but once she decided she liked it she went in face first. literally.

i. loved. her. sometimes i get in the midst of a photo session and i am just in a groove. posing, lighting, snapping. i was working through this session with baby lyla and chatting with mom and i picked her up to move her little body just a tad. she immediately snuggled up into the crook of my neck and i almost melted. made me want to have another. just for a minute.
